“If you build it, they will come…”

It worked for a baseball field in the middle of an Iowa cornfield in “Field of Dreams,” and it also applies to a state-of-the-art performance stage recently erected outside a Wilkesboro distillery.

Call Family Distillers has hosted musical events since late 2016, but until a few months ago the bands had no real outdoor stage on which to perform. The indoor shows were staged inside the venue’s warehouse.

All that changed when Willie Clay Call’s Mash House was constructed over the summer of 2021.
